A film student group fell victim to a brutal act orchestrated by a cartel in Mexico. The incident occurred when Javier Salomón Aceves Gastélum, Jesús Daniel Díaz, and Marco Ávalos, young individuals working on a university project, encountered the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG) while stranded in Jalisco. Mistaken for rival gang members, the students were taken captive by the cartel.
Subsequently, the students were interrogated and subjected to violence, leading to their tragic deaths. To cover up their crime, the CJNG instructed one of their members to dissolve the bodies in acid. The involvement of Mexican rapper Christian Palma Gutiérrez, known as QBA, in the cartel’s activities, shedding light on the extent of the organization’s reach.
Gutiérrez, a popular YouTuber with a significant following, created music videos glorifying violence and criminal behavior, further showcasing the dark side of the CJNG. The cartel’s notoriety extends to heinous acts such as downing an army helicopter, murdering officials, and displaying victims’ bodies as a form of intimidation.
Moreover, the CJNG’s recruitment tactics include forcing new members to partake in cannibalism and gruesome acts as part of their initiation. The cartel’s use of extreme violence and fear tactics underscores its ruthless nature and widespread influence in Mexico.
