A tragic incident occurred at a popular holiday park where a man lost his life after falling from a balcony. Bartosz Urbaniak, aged 29, sustained a brain injury when he fell during the Big Weekender event at Skegness Butlins. Witnesses reported that the man, a father of one, was trying to move between balconies before the fatal fall.
During the incident on September 28 around 12:15 pm, a trainee nurse attending the event administered CPR to Urbaniak until the arrival of an air ambulance. Despite efforts by medical personnel, he passed away two days later at Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham. His girlfriend expressed deep sorrow and described him as a person with a compassionate heart and soul.
The Greater Lincolnshire Coroner initiated an inquest into Urbaniak’s death, citing a traumatic brain injury and other severe injuries from the fall. Video footage captured the air ambulance responding to the scene, with individuals commenting on the tragic event. Eyewitness Kirsty Bradberry shared her thoughts on the emergency response, conveying condolences to Urbaniak’s family and friends.
Lincolnshire Police disclosed that they received a safety concern report about the man at 12:14 pm on September 28. The authorities do not suspect foul play, attributing the incident to a possible medical episode following the fall. The Mirror has reached out to Butlins for a statement.
