A woman and a teenage girl have been taken into custody following the death of a six-year-old boy under circumstances described as “unexplained.” Humberside Police responded to a call from paramedics reporting a medical incident involving the boy at a residence on Searby Road in Scunthorpe around 9 am on Monday, November 10.
The 37-year-old woman and the 17-year-old girl are being held on suspicion of being involved in the child’s death. Detective Chief Inspector Ben Robinson stated that an investigation is in progress to uncover the details surrounding the tragic event. He emphasized that the child’s passing is currently being treated as unexplained.
After being rushed to the hospital, the six-year-old succumbed to his condition shortly afterward. Both the woman and the teenage girl are cooperating with authorities while being detained. A security detail has been posted at the location. Humberside Police have been approached for a statement by The Mirror.
