“Malin + Goetz Beauty Brand Enters Administration, UK Stores Shut”

Beauty brand Malin + Goetz has gone into administration, leading to the closure of its seven stores in the UK. The affected locations include Seven Dials, Soho, Spitalfields, Islington, Canary Wharf, Battersea Power Station, and Borough Yards in London. This move will impact over 70 jobs. Online orders from Malin + Goetz are currently on hold, with a message on their website indicating a temporary pause in accepting orders.

Despite the store closures, customers can still purchase Malin + Goetz products through third-party retailers like Liberty, John Lewis, and Space NK. The company spokesperson stated that after reviewing the business extensively and exploring all options, the decision to place the UK business into administration was made. This unfortunate step resulted in the closure of UK stores and the head office, causing job losses.

There are plans to bring back the Malin + Goetz website online after a maintenance period, though the exact duration remains uncertain. Established in New York in 2004 by Matthew Malin and Andrew Goetz, the brand initially offered six products catering to all skin types. Over the years, the company expanded its product range to include fragrances, body care items, and other beauty products.
