“Former Heavyweight Champ Anthony Joshua Escapes Fatal Car Crash in Nigeria”

Video footage has surfaced showing Anthony Joshua escaping a car crash in Nigeria that resulted in the death of two individuals. The incident occurred on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway, where Joshua, the former heavyweight champion, was traveling in a Jeep that collided with a stationary truck. This incident took place in his parents’ homeland, shortly after his victory over Jake Paul in the boxing ring.

Reports indicate that Joshua was seated in the back of the vehicle and sustained minor injuries. He has been taken to an undisclosed hospital for treatment, while local authorities have launched an investigation into the crash. Eyewitnesses at the scene, including those who aided Joshua, have shared accounts of the incident.

In the video footage, Joshua can be seen being assisted from the back seat of the vehicle, appearing to be in discomfort. According to local reports, the collision occurred when the vehicle swerved into the stationary truck due to a burst tire and subsequent loss of control.

Eyewitnesses, including Adeniyi Orojo, described the sequence of events to Punch Newspaper, mentioning the occupants and the tragic outcome. Eddie Hearn, Joshua’s promoter, confirmed Joshua’s safety and hospitalization, although details were scarce.

This incident occurred just before the new year, as Joshua hinted at upcoming plans following his recent bout with Tyson Fury. In a social media post post-fight, Joshua expressed gratitude to his supporters and anticipated significant developments in the coming year.
