EE has introduced new SIM plans to address the growing issue of data depletion among customers. The company is rolling out pay-as-you-go SIMs featuring a complimentary enhancement called “Data Parachute.” This feature automatically grants users an extra 1GB of data if they unexpectedly run out.
According to EE, “Data Parachute” aims to keep customers connected for essential tasks like communication with friends or using maps for navigation until they can top up their data allowance. These new plans, starting at £10 per month, come with additional perks such as data rollover, which carries over unused data to the next month, and free data boosts that increase customers’ data allowances.
In addition to these benefits, EE pay-as-you-go customers can access the 5G network for improved performance and faster speeds. The pricing options for the new plans are as follows:
– £10 for 20GB
– £15 for 75GB
– £20 for 150GB
– £30 for 200GB
– £35 for Unlimited
While EE’s Data Parachute feature sets it apart, other providers like SMARTY and Giffgaff offer competitive deals. For instance, SMARTY provides 80GB for £8 per month or Unlimited data for £20, while Giffgaff offers 75GB for £10 per month and 60GB for £13.
It is advisable for consumers to compare different offers and select a plan based on their actual data usage to avoid unnecessary costs.
