“Friend of Meghan’s Ex Predicted Royal Marriage”

A close friend of Meghan Markle’s former husband shared his immediate reaction upon learning about her new relationship with Prince Harry. Meghan had been previously married to film producer Trevor Engelson for nearly three years before their divorce in 2014, two years prior to meeting Harry in 2016 through mutual friends.

Bethenny Frankel, an original cast member of Real Housewives of New York and a self-proclaimed friend of Trevor, disclosed that upon discovering Meghan’s new relationship, Trevor was convinced they would eventually wed. Indeed, after less than two years of dating, Harry and Meghan tied the knot in a grand ceremony at St George’s Chapel in Windsor, attended by the entire Royal Family and numerous celebrities.

During an episode of The Toast podcast, Bethenny shared her past interactions with Trevor, recalling a conversation where Trevor mentioned his ex, who was an actress on a show called Suits, without revealing her identity. When photos of Harry dating someone surfaced, Bethenny connected the dots and texted Trevor, speculating on their potential marriage, to which Trevor cryptically replied, “Oh, she’ll close.”

Subsequently, Trevor moved on from Meghan and married Tracey Kurland, a nutritionist and heiress. The couple welcomed their first daughter, Ford Grace Engelson, in August 2020, followed by Sienna Lee Engelson in November 2021, and later had a son named Logan Stanford Engelson.

In the book “Meghan, A Hollywood Princess” by Andrew Morton, it was suggested that Meghan and Trevor initially met at a local bar while she was starting her acting career. The book also mentioned that their marriage started showing signs of strain soon after their wedding, catching Trevor off guard with their eventual separation.

The couple’s separation was partly attributed to the challenges of maintaining a long-distance relationship, with Meghan frequently in Toronto for her work on Suits while Trevor resided in Los Angeles.
