“Ukrainian Strike Hits Putin’s Laser Plane Factory”

A significant Ukrainian attack struck a major Russian aircraft production facility overnight, resulting in a fire engulfing one of Vladimir Putin’s laser-equipped planes. The assault was so powerful that the site appeared to glow intensely, resembling the aftermath of a nuclear explosion. Reports indicate that a bulb-nosed A-60 aircraft caught fire during the strike on Taganrog, coinciding with intense US-led peace negotiations while both sides engaged in heavy attacks.

NATO responded by deploying four warplanes as Russian drones targeted Ukraine’s Odesa region, breaching Romanian airspace. In the Ukrainian capital Kyiv, Russia launched deadly assaults on civilians, claiming the lives of at least six individuals, including an elderly woman. Amid the chaos, residents sought help as a Shahed drone strike caused a tower block to erupt in flames, destroying two power plants providing hot water heating to homes. Additionally, distressing footage showed a malfunctioning Russian air defense missile hitting a residential building in Novorossiysk, resulting in casualties from Ukrainian strikes.

These destructive events unfolded as efforts for peace advanced, with US Army Secretary Daniel Driscoll traveling to Abu Dhabi for discussions with Ukrainian military intelligence and Russian representatives to resolve military differences within the peace plan. Lt-Gen Kyrylo Budanov, a high-profile figure in Russia, was reportedly part of the negotiations. The Ukrainian attack targeted the Beriev aircraft manufacturing plant at Taganrog-Yuzhny airfield, where an A-60 aircraft, capable of carrying laser weapons, was reportedly ablaze. Unconfirmed reports suggested that a hangar housing a Tu-95MS strategic bomber undergoing a £36 million modernization was also hit.

The night attack in Taganrog resulted in three fatalities and 11 injuries, with Ukrainian drones striking residential areas. Governor Veniamin Kondratyev described it as one of the most extensive attacks during the ongoing conflict. Meanwhile, in Novorossiysk, footage showed a mysterious object crashing into a building and exploding, believed to be a misfired Russian air defense missile. Another video depicted a drone, possibly disrupted by electronic warfare, slamming into a residential tower and causing injuries. Similar attacks were reported in Gelendzhik and Tuapse, including strikes on power plants in Kyiv, leading to power outages and disruptions to daily life.

Russian foreign affairs aide Yuri Ushaskov criticized proposed changes to the US peace plan as unproductive. The escalating situation saw attacks in the Odesa region and airspace incursions over NATO member states, prompting the scrambling of fighter jets. The Romanian air force confirmed the detection of unauthorized airspace entries and emphasized its readiness to intercept such intrusions.

The events underscored the urgency for diplomatic solutions as the conflict continued to escalate on multiple fronts, with both sides facing devastating consequences from the ongoing clashes.
