Concerns arose when she failed to show up for a scheduled photoshoot and did not respond to calls from the photographer. Her boyfriend, Peter M, raised the alarm when she could not be reached, leading to a police search that uncovered her phone in a nearby bush.
Neighbors reported hearing unusual noises from Stefanie’s apartment on the night she went missing. A crucial clue emerged from her last WhatsApp message to a friend, where she mentioned encountering a suspicious individual in the building stairwell. Subsequently, Peter was apprehended while trying to cross the border in Slovenia, with his burnt-out red Volkswagen Golf discovered near a casino a few miles away. He is currently in custody in Slovenia, awaiting an extradition hearing.
