After struggling with her body image and weight gain following two pregnancies, a woman was motivated to change her lifestyle when she reached 17 stone 6 lbs and was diagnosed with diabetes. Gerri Walters, 59, faced challenges finding clothes that fit her size, which led to a turning point during a holiday when she realized the impact of her weight on her quality of life.
Growing up, Gerri felt self-conscious about her height compared to her petite friends, which continued into adulthood, especially after having children.
