“Southern Alberta Storm Alert Lifted After Severe Weather Threat”

Environment Canada has rescinded a yellow alert for extreme weather on Tuesday evening following a storm that swept through parts of southern Alberta. The agency warned of damaging wind gusts, large hail, and heavy rainfall as the storm traveled from Claresholm towards areas near Lethbridge and Medicine Hat. The initial warning, issued earlier in the afternoon, highlighted the potential for a dangerous thunderstorm capable of generating baseball-sized hail and causing damage to structures and trees.

A yellow watch for a severe thunderstorm remained in place across a significant portion of the region from Claresholm to Hays, extending south to the U.S. border as of Tuesday night. For the latest updates, individuals are encouraged to visit the Environment Canada website.
