Korean pop group BTS is facing criticism from certain fans following the appearance of two members alongside controversial American artist Chris Brown at his concert in Toronto. Photos shared on Brown’s Instagram showed J-Hope and RM posing with the singer, with additional videos circulating on social media of the two members enjoying the concert. Brown has a troubled legal history dating back to 2009 when he admitted to assaulting his then-girlfriend, singer Rihanna. Subsequent assault charges led to Brown’s incarceration in 2014, and he recently pled guilty to assaulting a producer in a London nightclub.
The online response from BTS’s fans, known as ARMY, has been divided. Some expressed disappointment in the members for associating with Brown, while others defended their attendance at the concert. Criticism and support for J-Hope and RM’s actions have sparked debates among fans, with varying opinions on social media platforms.
