Child critically injured in car-motorcycle collision

A young child sustained critical injuries in a collision between a car and a motorcycle in West Chezzetcook, N.S., on Sunday. The incident, which occurred at the junction of Highway 207 and Bellefontaine Road around 4:30 p.m., prompted an emergency response.

Reportedly, the child was a passenger on the motorcycle driven by a 43-year-old man from Grand Desert, N.S. The motorcycle was headed south on Highway 207 when a car, driven by a 28-year-old man from West Chezzetcook, attempted a left turn onto Highway 207 from Bellefontaine Road, leading to the collision.

The driver of the car was treated at the scene by paramedics and later discharged, while the motorcycle operator was transported to the hospital in an ambulance with non-life-threatening injuries. Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
