“Two Charged in Calgary Electric Dirt Bike Pursuit”

Calgary authorities have announced charges against two young individuals after a pursuit involving electric dirt bikes in the Coach Hill area. Following reports of three individuals recklessly operating electric dirt bikes and engaging in stunts around 1:30 a.m. on a Tuesday, law enforcement officials were alerted. The riders attempted to escape when approached by officers, leading to a pursuit through residential neighborhoods. Helicopter Air Watch for Community Safety (HAWCS) provided aerial support in tracking the individuals. Two of the riders have been apprehended and are facing charges related to reckless driving and evading police. Authorities emphasized that using electric dirt bikes on public roads, sidewalks, pathways, or parks is illegal.
