“RCMP Confirms Homicide-Suicide Case in New Brunswick”

Authorities have determined that the deaths of two men in western New Brunswick, initially under suspicion, have been classified as a case of homicide and suicide, as per the RCMP.

Following a distress call on August 12, law enforcement officers arrived at a residence in Knowlesville, Carleton County.

Inside the property on Knowlesville Road, nearly 20 kilometers east of Florenceville, the bodies of a 68-year-old man and a 74-year-old man were discovered by the police.

Additionally, a firearm was recovered at the location.

Although the identities of the individuals were withheld by the RCMP, it was disclosed that both men were residents of the area, acquaintances, and shared a living space.

According to Cpl. Hans Ouellette, a spokesperson for the RCMP, no external parties were implicated in the incidents.

The fatalities were determined to be a result of homicide and suicide; however, the specific causes of death remain undisclosed.

Recently, the RCMP’s major crimes unit wrapped up the investigation and confirmed that no criminal charges will be filed.
