“Porter Airlines to Launch New Flights from London International Airport”

The London International Airport will see an addition to its list of airlines this autumn. Porter Airlines, based in Toronto, will commence operations from the airport for the first time ever in November, as announced by airline officials on Wednesday. The airline plans to start with four direct flights to sunny destinations in late fall and early winter and has expressed its intention to expand its domestic network from London by the summer of 2027.

The upcoming flights and their launch dates are as follows:
– London to Fort Lauderdale, Florida: Four times weekly, starting on November 18.
– London to Fort Orlando, Florida: Three times weekly, starting on November 19.
– London to Cancun, Mexico: Four times weekly, starting on December 17.
– London to Montego Bay, Jamaica: Two times weekly, starting on December 18.

Scott McFadzean, the President and CEO of London International Airport, expressed his delight in welcoming Porter Airlines to YXU, emphasizing the positive impact the airline will have on regional connectivity. He highlighted the historical lack of adequate air service in the region, forcing residents and businesses to seek connectivity outside the area.

Porter Airlines has disclosed that the winter routes will be serviced by new Embraer E195-E2 aircraft, known for their absence of middle seats. Bookings for the new routes are now open. While details on future domestic flights from London remain undisclosed, airline representatives have assured that they will link various locations across Canada with the largest city in Southwestern Ontario. Further information on these developments will be released at a later time.
