“Probe Launched into Golf Clubhouse Blaze”

The fire marshal of the province is launching an investigation following a devastating blaze that destroyed a golf course clubhouse situated northwest of London on Wednesday night. Emergency crews were dispatched to a structure fire at the junction of Bluewater Highway and Bayfield Road in Central Huron shortly after 8 p.m., as reported by the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP). Although firefighters managed to extinguish the flames successfully, the clubhouse at the Bluewater Golf Course and Campground was left in ruins.

In response to the incident, the Bluewater Golf Course and Campground issued a statement on social media Wednesday night, announcing the closure of the course until further notice. The post expressed gratitude to the dedicated staff for their swift response and commended the rapid intervention of all the first responders who tackled the fire.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported in connection with the fire, according to the police. The Ontario Office of the Fire Marshal is slated to conduct an investigation into the root cause of the destructive fire, as confirmed by the OPP. Following the emergency response, Bluewater Highway and Bayfield Road were temporarily shut down but have since been reopened to traffic.
