A 20-year-old woman faces charges of attempted murder following a shooting incident in Nova Scotia’s Annapolis Valley early Wednesday. According to an official statement from the RCMP, emergency responders arrived at a residence on Clementsvale Road in Princedale, N.S. at 12:20 a.m. and discovered a 24-year-old man who had been shot by a female acquaintance.
The injured man was rushed to the hospital with severe wounds. The woman was apprehended at the scene without incident. Law enforcement officials reported recovering the suspected firearm used in the shooting, along with additional evidence.
The accused, a resident of West Paradise, N.S., has been charged with attempted murder using a firearm, multiple weapons-related offenses, and failure to comply with a legal obligation. She appeared in Annapolis Royal provincial court on Thursday and is being held in custody pending further court proceedings.
