“Cambridge Man Accused in Cocaine Transport Conspiracy”

A young man from Cambridge, aged 24, has been accused in a case linked to the suspected transportation of cocaine from Canada to Hong Kong. Authorities from the Waterloo Regional Police have filed charges against him for exporting a Schedule 1 substance and participating in a conspiracy to commit a serious offense. The individual was apprehended following the execution of a search warrant at a residence in Cambridge. Subsequently, he was detained in custody pending a bail hearing.

The investigation was initiated in September 2025 after the arrest of a 20-year-old woman from Cambridge at the Hong Kong International Airport. Law enforcement officers discovered approximately 25 kilograms of cocaine concealed in her checked luggage. In a recent development, a man from Markham, Ontario, was also arrested by local police and their counterparts for his alleged involvement in the drug network. This network supposedly aided in facilitating the woman’s journey from Toronto to Hong Kong.

The recent arrest, which occurred on Wednesday, marks the second incident this month in connection with this case. On August 14, a 20-year-old male from Cambridge was arrested and charged. Authorities mention that the investigation is still ongoing, and individuals with relevant information are urged to reach out to the police.
