Canada triumphed over Puerto Rico with set scores of 25-16, 25-22, 25-10, clinching a clean sweep in the best-of-five match.
Canada showcased superiority in various aspects of the game, leading in attacks (42-32), aces (4-2), and capitalizing on more error points (17-12), while also dominating in blocks with a score of 12-2. Head coach Giovanni Guidetti commended the team’s mental fortitude, emphasizing their unwavering focus and confidence even when Puerto Rico took the lead in the second set.
