The festival has been reimagined as a tribute to the legendary singer’s life. Originally planned to coincide with Parton’s 80th birthday in January, the cross-continental music extravaganza, which was initially set to feature Parton as the headlining act along with a lineup of other musicians, was postponed last September due to health concerns.
Despite Parton’s passing earlier this month at the age of 80, leaving behind countless grieving fans, her estate has confirmed that the “star-studded” music festival will take place in Nashville and London over two consecutive weekends next year. Known as the “Queen of Country,” Parton was celebrated for her chart-topping hits like “Jolene,” “I Will Always Love You,” and “9 to 5,” as well as for her humor, sparkling outfits, and extensive charitable work.
The estate stated that Dollyfest will embody the lively celebration that Parton had envisioned sharing with the world. While details about the specific dates and musical lineup are still under wraps, more information is expected to be unveiled during an upcoming press conference.
