Alectra Utilities is also engaged in efforts to bring power back to approximately 363 homes and businesses in Vaughan, Ontario.
The aftermath of the storm has led to road closures in several areas. The City of Toronto has announced that various roads, including parts of the Don Valley Parkway, are closed due to flooding and cleanup activities. Specific closures include the southbound lanes of the Don Valley Parkway from the Bayview off-ramp to the Don Roadway, as well as the Gardiner Expressway eastbound and the northbound Don Valley Parkway from Jarvis to the Royal Drive and Bloor on-ramp.
In Vaughan, Huntington Road between Rutherford Road and Trade Valley Drive has been indefinitely closed due to a significant sinkhole, as confirmed by York police, who advise residents to steer clear of the area. The exact timeline for reopening the affected roads remains uncertain.
