Residents of a multi-purpose building located on Water Street East in Summerside were forced to leave their homes early on Sunday morning due to a fire that broke out around 2 a.m. Emergency responders managed to extinguish the fire within 45 minutes, and fortunately, no one was harmed during the incident.
The building consists of approximately 10 to 12 residential units on the higher floors, while the ground floor is designated for commercial use. To assist those displaced by the fire, the Canadian Red Cross is offering temporary accommodation.
