“Submerged Vehicle with Human Remains Found in B.C. River”

In southeastern British Columbia, law enforcement authorities report that a volunteer search recovery group has discovered a submerged vehicle containing human remains, likely connected to a man who disappeared in 2004. Creston RCMP announced that the vehicle was located in the Kootenay River near a spot referred to as “the old ferry landing.” The search team had been looking for George Franklin Davis, who went missing from the Creston region in July 2004. On Monday, an RCMP underwater team assisted in retrieving the vehicle. Law enforcement officials indicate that the vehicle’s characteristics and license plate correspond to Davis’s records. Although the individual’s identity has yet to be officially confirmed, authorities presume that the uncovered remains belong to Davis. The RCMP states that there are no suspicions of foul play in the death, but an investigation is ongoing, awaiting forensic analysis and confirmation from the B.C. Coroners Service.
