Young Woman Fatally Struck on Highway 2

A tragic incident occurred on Highway 2 just south of Prince Albert, Sask., where a 23-year-old woman lost her life after being struck by a vehicle, as reported by the RCMP. The authorities received a call around 7:30 p.m. CST on Sunday regarding a pedestrian being hit by a vehicle approximately one kilometer south of the city. Emergency services, including police, fire crews, and paramedics, swiftly responded to the scene.

The victim, a woman from Sandy Bay, Sask., was pronounced dead by EMS at the site of the accident. Her family has been informed of the heartbreaking news. Fortunately, the driver involved in the incident remained at the scene, and both the driver and a passenger in the vehicle did not sustain any physical injuries, according to the police.

The RCMP have enlisted the expertise of a collision reconstructionist to assist in the ongoing investigation into the tragic event.
