Three individuals, two men, and a woman are currently facing charges related to a home invasion incident that occurred in Truro Heights recently. The RCMP received a report detailing that four individuals had forcibly entered a residence on Parkwood Drive early Saturday morning while the occupants were present. The woman among the group threatened the residents with a knife, indicating that harm would come to them if the accompanying men were not granted entry.
Following the threat, the woman departed the scene, leaving the two men behind. Subsequently, a 27-year-old man and a 20-year-old woman in the residence were subjected to assault, resulting in non-life-threatening injuries. The assailants fled the scene in a Hyundai Elantra, as per police reports.
Later, the Truro Police Service located the Elantra and apprehended four individuals. A 31-year-old Sipekne’katik man has been charged with two counts of assault, two counts of uttering threats, and mischief. He has been remanded into custody and appeared in Truro provincial court on Monday. Additionally, a 34-year-old man from Bayside and a 19-year-old woman from Truro are also facing charges related to the home invasion and are set to appear in court on December 16. The fourth individual arrested was released without charges, according to the police statement.
