“US Man in Fatal Saskatchewan Crash Granted $20K Bail”

An individual from the United States, who was involved in a collision in Saskatchewan resulting in the death of a mother and her two daughters, has been granted release on $20,000 bail. The incident occurred on October 2 near Foam Lake, approximately 200 kilometers northeast of Regina.

The man, identified as Kelly Knopf, aged 40, sustained a broken pelvis in the crash and will be returning to South Carolina for medical treatment, as confirmed by his lawyer, Brian Pfefferle, based in Saskatoon. Pfefferle expressed that Knopf plans to abide by the conditions of his release and appreciates the Crown’s approval for his bail.

Kelly Knopf is facing charges that include multiple counts of dangerous driving causing death and dangerous driving causing bodily harm. The collision resulted in the tragic deaths of Amber Olson, aged 40, and her two daughters, Isla (5 years old) and Everly (8 years old). Shaun Didychuk, the father of the girls, sustained severe injuries and was hospitalized.

According to a previous statement by Pfefferle, Knopf had traveled to Canada for a hunting expedition.
