Ottawa paramedics reported that a woman sustained critical injuries after being hit on Riverside Drive close to Billings Bridge in the early hours of Tuesday. The incident prompted emergency responders to rush to the scene near Data Centre Road at approximately 4:30 a.m. As a result of the accident, the northbound section of Riverside Drive between Heron and Data Centre roads has been shut down, as confirmed by the police. This closure is expected to redirect traffic from the main north-south route onto Heron unless drivers opt for an earlier detour.
