A doctor practicing in Christina Lake, located approximately 20 kilometers outside of Grand Forks in B.C.’s West Kootenay region, has been accused of two counts of sexual assault. Dr. Nathan Gordon Dalla Lana was officially charged on October 16, as per court records. The charges stem from incidents on August 10, 2026, in the vicinity of Grand Forks. The identities of the two alleged victims have been shielded by a publication ban.
The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) in Grand Forks acknowledged the arrest but declined to provide additional details. Dr. Dalla Lana is set to make his initial court appearance on November 17 in Grand Forks. He is registered with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSBC) as a family physician at a local medical facility. The clinic where he works did not offer any statements regarding the arrest or allegations.
CPSBC stated that while they would not comment on the specific case, any physician facing criminal charges is obligated to report such information. The CPSBC’s Investigation Committee may deliberate on imposing restrictions on a licensee’s practice through a summary protection order post the reporting of charges, as mentioned by the organization’s communication team in an email.
