A fresh face has entered the realm of TV judiciary, poised to make his mark following in the footsteps of a formidable predecessor. CBS Media Ventures unveiled a preview on Thursday for “Adam’s Law,” a new daytime courtroom series featuring Adam Levy, the 58-year-old son of the renowned Judge Judy.
Fans of Judge Judy’s distinctive sharpness, fiery demeanor, and no-nonsense approach are in for a treat as the trailer showcases Levy channeling a similar courtroom energy. With quick-witted and incisive remarks, Levy appears to emulate his mother’s judicial style, earning admiration even from the formidable Sheindlin herself.
Despite initially hesitating to relinquish the gavel, Judge Judy, in the trailer, humorously confesses that she might not have supported her son’s venture five or ten years ago due to her own attachment to the role. Sheindlin acknowledges Levy’s talent, albeit with a touch of competitiveness, expressing reluctance at the idea of being outshone.
Scheduled to debut on September 14, the new series, executive produced by Sheindlin, marks a return to courtroom television after the conclusion of the original “Judge Judy” series, which captivated audiences for 25 successful seasons.
