Alaska Highway Fully Reopened After Crash

The Alaska Highway, located south of Whitehorse, has been fully reopened following a multiple-vehicle crash that prompted a temporary closure earlier today. The Department of Highways and Public Works confirmed the reopening of the highway at 2 p.m. The road had been shut down in both directions earlier in the day, spanning from the Carcross cut-off to Judas Creek, with drivers being rerouted through the South Klondike Highway and Tagish Road.

According to an official statement from the RCMP issued shortly before 10 a.m., the collision occurred approximately three kilometers south of the Carcross cut-off. Further details regarding the incident have not been disclosed.
