Apple has had a bustling week unveiling a range of new products, including the iPhone 17e, upgraded iPad Air, and new MacBook Pro models equipped with the latest M5 processors. Now, the tech giant has revealed yet another surprise – a budget-friendly laptop.
Introducing the MacBook Neo, boasting a vibrant design, exceptional performance, and a high-resolution 13-inch display priced at just £599, making it the most affordable Mac on the market.
Priced £500 lower than the latest MacBook Air, the Neo is powered by Apple’s A18 Pro-series smartphone processor, offering sufficient speed to meet daily computing demands. Running on macOS, it provides access to popular applications like Microsoft Word, Pages, and iMovie.
With a battery life of over 15 hours, the Neo is highly efficient. It comes with two USB-C ports but lacks MagSafe charging. Additional features include a 1080p FaceTime HD camera, Touch ID fingerprint scanner, dual side-firing speakers with Spatial Audio and Dolby Atmos support, a Magic Keyboard, and Multi-Touch trackpad.
Available for pre-order now, the MacBook Neo will hit stores next week, offering color options in Silver, Indigo, Blush, and Citrus.
Apple’s senior vice president of Hardware Engineering, John Ternus, expressed excitement about the MacBook Neo, highlighting its affordability and unique features, emphasizing that it is a laptop like no other, combining durability, performance, and design in one package.
