“Conor Benn Calls Out Chris Eubank Jr’s ‘Victim Mentality'”

Conor Benn has accused his rival Chris Eubank Jr of displaying a ‘victim mentality’ following the public sharing of a distressing video capturing Eubank Jr receiving medical treatment in a hospital setting. The footage depicted Eubank Jr, aged 36, lying still on a hospital bed connected to various medical devices and encircled by healthcare professionals.

The video elicited an outpouring of sympathy from fans, with some suggesting that Eubank Jr should consider retiring, especially after his loss to Benn in a previous match held at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. In response, Benn questioned the motive behind Eubank Jr’s video post, hinting at a possible bid for sympathy from the audience.

During an interview with The Mail, Benn disclosed rumors of Eubank Jr suffering from irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) towards the end of his training camp and after their fight. Benn downplayed the seriousness of Eubank Jr’s health condition, emphasizing the need for a deeper understanding of the underlying reasons for sharing such content, insinuating a recurring pattern of seeking sympathy.

Benn contrasted his approach by highlighting his own undisclosed struggles, underscoring the challenges inherent in their sport. Despite facing personal adversities like a torn tendon and asthma, Benn emphasized his resilience and refusal to seek pity from the public, stating that such challenges are part and parcel of being a fighter.

In his social media post accompanying the video, Eubank Jr affirmed his intention to continue boxing despite his recent health issues, expressing gratitude for his supporters and pledging a strong comeback once he regains full health.

Furthermore, Sky has announced a reduction in the price of its Essential TV and Sky Sports bundle ahead of the upcoming 2025/26 season, offering substantial savings and an increased number of live matches from the Premier League and EFL for its subscribers. Sky is set to broadcast at least 215 live Premier League games next season, a notable increase from previous seasons.
