“Dolly Parton’s Nephew in Legal Battle Over Estate”

Bryan Seaver, who is Dolly Parton’s nephew and has been in charge of security for a long time, is currently involved in a public legal dispute with the company overseeing her estate. The conflict primarily revolves around financial matters.

According to estimates by Forbes, Dolly Parton, whose passing due to cancer was disclosed on August 25, had an estimated net worth of $450 million US. Although she and her late husband Carl Dean did not have children, Parton had a sizable family, including 11 siblings (six still alive), at least 12 nephews and nieces, and several great-nephews and great-nieces as reported by People magazine.

The management entity responsible for overseeing and safeguarding Parton’s estate is called She’s Alive, LLC, led by her longstanding manager Danny Nozell. Recently, the estate took legal action against Seaver, the family member chosen by Parton to announce her passing.

Seaver was terminated from his security role at Dolly Parton’s properties, including Dollywood, last month and was instructed to vacate immediately. She’s Alive, LLC, has created a lawsuit and a restraining order against Seaver.

The dispute timeline unfolds as follows:

– August 25: Dolly Parton passes away after a brief cancer battle, with Bryan Seaver publicly announcing her death through a brief video on her Instagram account.
– September 9: She’s Alive, LLC, is established.
– September 21: TMZ reports Seaver’s dismissal from providing security services at Parton’s properties. A termination letter obtained by TMZ directs Seaver and his team to vacate the properties immediately for the protection of the Trust and beneficiaries.
– September 22: She’s Alive files a lawsuit and temporary restraining order against Seaver. TMZ releases court documents suggesting Seaver intimidated Nozell for money by referencing himself as an international arms dealer.
– September 23: A Tennessee judge rules in favor of She’s Alive citing ongoing disruptions and threats by Seaver and his company.
– October 2: Seaver requests a court delay due to difficulties finding legal representation, citing conflicts of interest with attorneys connected to Pinnacle Bank.
– October 5: She’s Alive opposes Seaver’s motion, alleging he attempted to evade legal service and engaged in extreme measures like installing no-trespassing signs and barbed wire. A future hearing for Seaver is scheduled for October 20.

Despite the legal proceedings, Dolly Parton’s sister, Freida, emphasizes no feud within the family regarding the estate matter and expresses love and support for Bryan and each other.
