A 36-year-old driver was apprehended and accused of driving under the influence following numerous reports of reckless driving in Lakeshore. The Essex County OPP reported that on October 2, around 10 a.m., they received several complaints regarding a vehicle on Hwy. 401 close to Manning Road in the Municipality of Lakeshore.
After conducting an inquiry, law enforcement detained the 36-year-old individual who now confronts multiple charges under the Criminal Code, Highway Traffic Act, and Liquor License Control Act. The charges consist of operating a vehicle while impaired by alcohol and drugs, driving with a blood alcohol concentration over the legal limit, dangerous operation of a vehicle, driving with an open container of alcohol, obstructing a license plate, and performing a stunt with excessive speed.
Additionally, the accused received a 90-day license suspension and had their vehicle impounded. They are set to appear in court on November 10 to address the charges.
