The agency also predicts maximum temperatures of up to 31 degrees Celsius without humidity, along with overnight lows of 20 to 22 degrees Celsius.
The Windsor-Essex County Health Unit highlights that older adults, infants, young children, individuals working or exercising in the heat, or those with certain medical conditions are particularly vulnerable to the high temperatures. Symptoms of heat-related illnesses include dizziness, headache, nausea, weakness, and confusion.
To prevent heat-related illnesses and stay cool, it is recommended to:

– Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water, even if not feeling thirsty.
– Wear lightweight, loose-fitting clothing and a wide-brimmed hat.
