“Fallon Sherrock Escapes Penalty for Table Mimicry at PDC World Championship”

The PDC has decided not to penalize Fallon Sherrock for her behavior during her recent match with Dave Chisnall at the World Championship. Sherrock playfully mimicked an incident involving a drinks table that her ex-boyfriend, Cameron Menzies, had been involved in earlier in the week.

Menzies, who had a physical outburst at the table after losing a game, received support from PDC chief executive Matt Porter, emphasizing the availability of assistance from the PDC and PDPA if needed for Menzies’ well-being.

Both Sherrock and Menzies were eliminated in the first round of the championship. Sherrock struggled with her doubles accuracy, missing 20 out of 23 attempts, resulting in a 3-0 loss to Chisnall. On the other hand, Menzies, the 26th seed, held leads against his opponent before succumbing to a 3-2 defeat.

Chisnall acknowledged the closeness of the match against Sherrock, noting that her performance on doubles could have changed the outcome. He will face Ricardo Pietreczko in the next round, while the remaining first-round matches are set for Friday.

Up-and-coming player Beau Greaves will kick off her World Championship journey against Daryl Gurney, with the victor advancing to face Callan Rydz in the second round. The championship preview highlights key players and features interviews with various personalities, offering fans an insightful look into the tournament proceedings.
