“Father Forgives 10-Year-Old Shooter in Texas Tragedy”

A father has chosen to forgive a 10-year-old boy who confessed to killing a man in his sleep with his grandfather’s pistol. The victim, Brandon O’Quinn Rasberry, was shot in his RV at a Texas campground. The boy, now 10 years old, admitted to the shooting, shocking Kenneth, the victim’s father.

Kenneth expressed disbelief at the boy’s actions, emphasizing the need for understanding and comfort for the young child. He acknowledged the boy’s age and the importance of providing support to help him cope with whatever torment he may be experiencing.

The incident came to light when the boy made threatening statements about attacking another student, prompting an investigation that led to his confession about the shooting. The boy revealed that he found the pistol in his grandfather’s truck and used it to shoot the sleeping man before returning the weapon to its original place.

Law enforcement confirmed the gun’s involvement in the crime through ballistic testing. Following the incident, the boy was placed under emergency detention and later taken to a psychiatric hospital for evaluation and treatment. He was subsequently booked on terrorist threat charges related to the school bus incident.

The school district superintendent announced that the boy would not be returning to his former school. This tragic event has raised concerns about the mental well-being of the young boy and the need for appropriate intervention and support.
