Ottawa’s Gabriela Dabrowski clinched her 25th tour-level doubles title at the WTA 1000 China Open in Beijing alongside Brazil’s Luisa Stefani. The second-seeded duo secured a resounding victory over top seeds Katerina Siniakova and Zhang Shuai with a 6-1, 6-2 win in under an hour to seize the championship.
Following the match, Dabrowski expressed satisfaction with their performance, citing the high level of play throughout the week. This win marks her fifth tour-level title this year, adding to her successes in Dubai, Strasbourg, Eastbourne, and São Paulo.
Dabrowski and Stefani, now seven-time title winners as a pair, also reached the Wimbledon final earlier in the year, finishing as runners-up. They have secured a spot in the year-end WTA Finals in Indian Wells, where Dabrowski will participate in her eighth appearance at this prestigious event.
