According to authorities, 35-year-old Jared Douglas Polischuk and 29-year-old Luis Manuel Baez were taken into custody on Friday and are facing a joint charge of conspiracy to commit murder.
The charges relate to a shooting incident in September 2025, during which 24-year-old Taran Pandher was targeted and killed while traveling as a passenger in a taxi. The fatal attack took place near the intersection of 200 Street and 53 Avenue in Langley. Following the shooting, police responded to a vehicle fire in Surrey on the same night, which investigators believe is linked to the earlier incident.
Law enforcement officials have indicated that the investigation is ongoing, as they suspect the involvement of additional individuals in the planned shooting, which is believed to be connected to the ongoing gang conflict in British Columbia.
