Hamilton and Leclerc Show Solidarity Amid Ferrari Setback

Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc have utilized Instagram to express their solidarity with Ferrari engineers and fans following chairman John Elkann’s advice to prioritize driving over talking.

Ferrari had a mixed weekend in motorsport, securing victories in the Drivers’ and Constructors’ Championships at the World Endurance Championship finale in Bahrain. However, the Brazilian Grand Prix turned disastrous as Hamilton’s collision with Franco Colapinto’s Alpine led to his retirement due to severe damage to his SF-25.

Similarly, Leclerc faced an early exit after being involved in an incident with Oscar Piastri and Kimi Antonelli during a safety car restart at Turn One.

The double-DNF setback places Ferrari fourth in the World Championship standings, trailing Mercedes by 26 points and Red Bull by four. Elkann expressed disappointment over the team’s performance, emphasizing the need for focus and less talk from the drivers.

In response, Hamilton and Leclerc indirectly addressed the situation on Instagram, acknowledging the challenges faced and committing to perseverance and unity moving forward.

Formula 1 enthusiasts can catch all the action live with Sky’s new Essential TV and Sky Sports bundle, which includes access to practice sessions, qualifying rounds, and races, along with a variety of TV channels and complimentary subscriptions to Netflix and Discovery+.

The drivers’ social media posts reflected determination and a shared resolve to overcome obstacles as they navigate the critical phase of the season to secure a higher position in the constructors’ championship.
