A 61-year-old Hamilton resident faces charges following a fatal hit-and-run incident involving a pedestrian in Burlington, as per the Halton Regional Police. The collision occurred on August 27 at the intersection of Maple Avenue and Richmond Road, resulting in the victim’s death at the scene. Authorities had been searching for a dark sedan with front-end damage. The suspect was apprehended in Oakville on Tuesday and has been accused of failing to stop at an accident that led to a fatality. He has since been released from custody and is set to appear in court on November 26.
