“Ikea Offers 6% Discount to UK Teachers and Healthcare Workers”

Ikea has rolled out a new discount program for thousands of UK workers. Education and healthcare professionals are now eligible for a 6% discount at Ikea stores through a partnership with Discounts for Teachers and Health Service Discounts.

Previously, members could save 4% on Ikea’s website, but the enhanced offer now extends to in-store purchases. To avail of the discount, customers need to log into the relevant app and scan their code at the checkout.

Jen Haslam, Chief Revenue Officer at Discounts for Teachers and Health Service Discounts, expressed pride in bringing this Ikea discount to members, recognizing the crucial roles teachers and healthcare workers play in society.

Nikos Koskinas, Retail Partnerships Manager at Discounts for Teachers and Health Service Discounts, highlighted the positive impact of providing this exclusive savings opportunity with Ikea, both online and in-store, to support education and healthcare professionals in the UK.

In related news, Ikea recently introduced a £2 click and collect fee for online orders collected from its stores, effective September 2025. However, members of the Family loyalty scheme can still access this service free of charge. Customers also have the option to collect orders from selected Tesco car parks, DPD, or locker pick-up points, with varying fees based on the spending threshold.

An Ikea spokesperson emphasized the company’s commitment to transparent pricing and improving delivery and collection services to enhance customer convenience. The introduction of the £2 click and collect fee for non-Ikea Family members aims to ensure financial sustainability, while Ikea Family members continue to enjoy free collection services.
