A young mother was tragically murdered while out with her child after a woman allegedly orchestrated the crime to take custody of the victim’s daughter. The suspect, Gabrielle Cristine Pinheiro Rosário, surrendered to authorities almost two weeks after the incident in Sepetiba, Rio de Janeiro.
Investigators discovered that the motive behind the murder was a custody dispute over the victim’s four-year-old daughter. Rosário, aged 25, reportedly hired two individuals to carry out the fatal shooting on a city street on November 4. The police confirmed Rosário’s involvement based on various evidence, including witness statements and cell phone data, leading to her arrest.
Although Rosário’s lawyer denies any knowledge of the arrested men, it is believed they were paid around £3,000 to carry out the alleged crime. Authorities identified Rosário’s concerning behavior towards the child through text messages and connections to the perpetrators, indicating her involvement in tracking the victim’s movements before the attack.
In a separate case, an adult film star, Devyn Michaels, was found guilty of murdering her ex-husband, who had recently gained sole custody of their children. Michaels, 47, faces a potential life sentence for the brutal killing of Johnathan Willette, 46, whose body was discovered without a head and covered in chemicals at his residence in Las Vegas.
During Michaels’ trial, prosecutors presented crime scene evidence, including photos of the victim’s body. Michaels confessed to striking Willette with a “candlestick-like” object during a massage session, leading to his death. The motive behind the murder was reportedly rooted in Michaels’ jealousy after losing custody of the children to Willette.
