Ottawa police have pressed charges against Nancy Lescarbeau, a teacher at the Ottawa Catholic School Board, for allegedly sexually assaulting a student in the early 2010s. The authorities announced Wednesday that Lescarbeau, aged 52, faces eight charges stemming from incidents in 2021 and 2022, including sexual assault, forcible confinement, intimidation through threats of violence, assault with a weapon, and sexual interference involving minors under 16 years old.
The police did not disclose the specific schools where Lescarbeau has been employed. They expressed concern that there might be additional victims and urged anyone with relevant information to contact either their Sexual Assault and Child Abuse unit or Crime Stoppers for assistance.
