Struggling in the first half, Bueckers went flawless in the third quarter, shooting 4 of 4 from both the field and the free-throw line, contributing 13 crucial points to the team. This win snapped a three-game losing streak for the Wings, their longest of the season.
Arike Ogunbowale delivered a strong performance with 21 points, achieving season highs in free throws and attempts by going 13 of 14. Alanna Smith recorded 13 points and 11 rebounds, while Awak Kuier added 14 points to the scoreboard.
Dallas faced the challenge without key players, All-Star Jessica Shepard and rookie top draft pick Azzi Fudd, due to injuries. Shepard sustained an ankle injury in the previous game against Minnesota, while Fudd has been sidelined for three games due to a knee injury.
