An individual walking in south Ottawa’s Barrhaven area was hit and fatally injured by a vehicle on Wednesday morning, as per information from paramedics. The incident occurred at the junction of Strandherd and Cresthaven drives at approximately 6:20 a.m., prompting the dispatch of emergency response teams.
Paramedics confirmed the victim’s death at the scene but refrained from disclosing more details as the process of informing their relatives and acquaintances was ongoing. Ottawa police subsequently cordoned off the section of Strandherd spanning from Woodroffe Avenue to Prince of Wales Drive.
