RCMP has provided additional information regarding a homicide case from 2025 in Victoria County, Nova Scotia, while urging the public to come forward with any relevant details. The victim, identified as Emerson Elliot Dixon, aged 43 and from Whitney Pier, N.S., was discovered deceased on August 30, 2025, inside an abandoned vehicle on New Campbellton Road in New Campbellton.
According to the police statement, the blue 2011 Chevrolet Malibu in which Dixon was found belonged to an individual known to him. Dixon had been the focus of a welfare inquiry in Cape Breton Regional Municipality starting on August 28, 2025, just two days before his body was located.
