“Reckless Driver Arrested After Ambassador Bridge Chaos”

A 32-year-old individual has been taken into custody for reckless driving on the Ambassador Bridge, as reported by the Windsor Police Service (WPS). The incident unfolded when Windsor police officers were called to the Ambassador Bridge to aid the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) after a motorist ignored the border inspection lanes, according to a statement by WPS. The driver then engaged in a confrontation with the responding officers, resisted exiting the vehicle, and sped away, causing harm to a police officer and a CBSA officer, WPS confirmed. Subsequently, the vehicle collided with barriers, overturned, and the suspect fled on foot before being apprehended. The 32-year-old suspect now faces charges including dangerous operation of a vehicle, obstructing a peace officer, and assaulting a peace officer with a weapon. Fortunately, the injuries sustained by the officers were not life-threatening. WPS has urged individuals with relevant information to reach out to them for assistance.
