“Sky Launches Free HBO Max Access for Ultimate TV Package Subscribers”

Sky customers in the UK are in for a treat with the launch of HBO Max, adding to the already popular Disney+ streaming platform included in select plans. Sky Ultimate TV package subscribers can now access HBO Max for free, allowing them to enjoy top titles like Game of Thrones, Friends, Dune, Succession, and Young Sheldon without the usual monthly fee of £4.99, saving over £50.

According to Sky, customers with Sky Ultimate TV on Sky Glass or Sky Stream, and Sky Q customers with the appropriate package, will receive HBO Max Basic with Ads as part of their subscription. This service, previously available in the USA, offers a vast selection of HBO dramas, including favorites like Succession and The Wire, along with new Max Originals like The Pitt and a variety of Warner Bros. films.

To start enjoying HBO Max, eligible Sky customers can simply launch the HBO Max app from the homepage and follow the on-screen instructions to activate it for on-demand streaming. For those not on Sky Ultimate TV, switching to this plan, starting at £22 per month, offers access to over 130 Sky channels, Netflix, Disney+, HBO Max, and the upcoming Hayu service.

Sky’s Chief Consumer Officer, Sophia Ahmad, highlighted the new era for Sky and NOW, emphasizing the integration of Sky, Netflix, Disney+, HBO Max, and Hayu into a single subscription, offering a unique entertainment experience. NOW Entertainment customers will also benefit from HBO Max integrated into the NOW app at no additional cost.

For non-Sky subscribers, signing up for HBO Max directly on the website is an option, with Standard with Ads plans beginning at £5.99.
